About

Workshop Information:

If your school is based in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire or the Milton Keynes area and you would like me to visit, please contact me for available dates.

I have over 120 cross-curricular projects to choose from.

I supply the clay and the tools. All you need to supply is newspaper to cover the tables and aprons for the children.

Workshops consist of easy to understand demonstrations and easy to follow, child friendly, step by step instructions.

I am CRB checked and fully insured in line with present requirements.

The cost is £50.00 per workshop plus travel to and from your school. One workshop equals one class. There is a minimum booking of two workshops per day.

Each workshop can last from an hour to an hour and a half depending on the age of the children and the subject matter. I teach a whole class at a time apart from Reception who I prefer to teach in smaller groups.

I work around your school day and fit in wherever it suits you.

I now have a portable potters wheel. If you would like your children to experience throwing a pot, please let me know! Please note that throwing workshops are only suitable for Year 2 children and upwards. The rate for these workshops is £150.00 per day (plus travel expenses), two classes only, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Clay Workshops for schools is dedicated to helping teachers in Infant and Primary schools do more cross-curricular activities using clay.

I have been running clay workshops in schools for the last ten years. This website showcases some of the work made by children, they never cease to amaze me with their enthusiasm and ability!

My backgound:

My name is Victoria, I am a qualified teacher and have a degree in Ceramics from Camberwell College of Art.

I am currently working on transferring all my projects into resource packs for schools so that all children can try them!

They will be both teacher and child friendly including video demonstrations of each project, easy to follow step by step instructions for the children, lesson plans for teachers and tips for buying, using and storing clay.
